Got a call from some car accident scammer. When i mentioned losing limbs, he quickly said sorry, then suddenly asked about a dent on my car. I dont even hold a driving licence! Well blocked the number now, cheers to this site for the help.

My son had a small accident where a lady reversed into his car. There was barely any damage and we managed to handle it without going through our insurance. Then, this company rang up claiming to have a claim for him. When I said no thanks, they insisted there was some cash involved. I told them I wasn’t interested but they just kept pushing. He then handed me over to his ‘supervisor’, who turned out to be the exact same bloke. In the end, I just ended the call and blocked them. Really glad I looked this place up first.

I've got another one to throw into the mix - received a call from someone claiming to be after a chap named Donald MacDonald. When I pointed out it was a case of wrong number, they stubbornly insisted it was indeed the right number, just the wrong name, and proceeded to jabber on about some sort of accident. I firmly told them to take my number off their list and cease any further calls, but the bloke just replied that he didn’t quite get it and kept pushing his sales pitch. Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who was really persistent. He kept insisting I was Mrs Munro and said I’d been in a car crash. I told him no, and to take me off his list. He wouldn’t drop it, said it had to be me or someone in my family since he had all the info. I explained twice more that no one I know is Mrs Munro or had an accident. Then he asked when my last accident was, so I repeated it was a wrong number. He started calling me a liar and said he had the details right in front of him. I told him to get lost and hung up straight away. Felt like a total scam to me!

They said they were from Legal Direct UK about a road accident. I asked them where they got their info and they said the Ministry of Transport. Sounds like a company from abroad pretending to be local with a UK number.
