I got a call from this number too, with someone saying they were checking up on an accident and asking loads of questions about it, saying I might get some compensation money. I just made up answers and they seemed fine with it, so clearly they’re not legit callers.

Trying to find Michael McGrotty, who apparently filled in a loan form at least five years ago. Since then, I’ve been getting constant calls and texts meant for him. Lately, the calls I get seem to come from places like Glasgow, Edinburgh (the one today), and Manchester. Sometimes I humour them, asking which accident they mean since my last injury was over 30 years ago, but I always end up blocking the number afterwards. They must have loads of different lines, but thankfully the calls are happening less often now. If my first comment was too long, why even give me the space to type it all?

Another random caller again, I do apologise to anyone trying to reach me who’s not in my contacts but I’m really fed up of these annoying calls. I’m signed up with the TPS but it seems to be pointless. Someone really needs to step in and put an end to these scammers.

01312022984 called me, I waited a bit as I could hear loads of loud noise in the background, then finally someone started talking claiming to be from the legal dept about a car crash. I asked them how much cash I’d be getting from it (catch is, no crash happened!). They replied, “you’re going straight to the cash,” to which I said “sure.” Then they hit back with “you’re lying,” guess what I said back!!! Honestly, best just to avoid picking up such numbers, if it’s important they’ll leave a voicemail :)

For the past three and a half years, I keep getting calls about an accident involving Alison McLaren. There actually is someone by that name living in Glasgow. I've also had loads of calls about Mr Mclaren's mortgage protection insurance claims. I've been told my number's been taken off their list, but just this week I've had calls from Ayr, Warrington and even Edinburgh. It's clear someone has purposely added my number to this database, it's not just a mix-up with a similar number. How do I put an end to this and who should I report it to?

Said they were from Auto Assist about an accident I supposedly had this year. When I asked where they got the info from, they said the "central insurance database says you reported and claimed for an accident." I told them I’ve never been in an accident or made any claim.
