8 yearsThis morning I got a call from a lady with an Indian accent saying she was calling on behalf of BT. She said I’d been chosen for free calls and free line rental. Thing is, I’m not even a BT customer! Sometimes I like to humour these calls just to mess with them. She then started talking about my direct debit, so I asked her who I actually send my payments to. Next thing, she just hung up on me. I’m pretty good at spotting scams, but I worry that older folks could get fooled by this and end up handing over their bank details to these con artists.BT8 yearsGot a call from someone in India and I couldn’t make out a single thing they were saying.
