I received a phone call from a call centre operative who was speaking in what seemed to be an Indian dialect or something along those lines. The line went dead as soon as I mentioned it was the incorrect number. I decided to investigate the number further, only to find it improperly registered as linked to Weymouth Golf Club. It’s likely a scamming ploy using a spoofed number.

This number rang me twice over a couple of days. When I picked up the second time, a bloke spoke in what seemed like an Indian language for about half a minute. I tried to tell him he’d got the wrong number, but he hung up mid-sentence. At the beginning of the call, I could hear what sounded like a call centre in the background, so I’m pretty sure it was some kind of scam. The number was definitely faked since it isn’t from a UK call centre. Some sites wrongly say this belongs to Weymouth Golf Club, but actually, it’s not assigned to anyone.
