Got a call from 01303901543, a lady with an Asian accent who said her name was "Iris". She messed up saying my name but surprised me by getting my postcode spot on. She said it was regarding local energy rates and asked if I owned the house. I told her the postcode was right but I just rent here, not the owner. After that, she just ended the call, so I decided to block the number.

Some lady rang claiming to be from my local energy advice service, but when I asked who she worked for, she couldn’t tell me. We’ve had quite a few calls like this recently, all sounding exactly the same, so I told her I’d report her to the ICO. She said before she’d take me off her list, but I’m fed up now and have just blocked the number altogether.

I got a call from a lady with a Chinese accent, she asked if this was the address for (some mumble of a name). When I asked her name and where she was calling from, she wouldn’t really say and just gave some dodgy spiel about saving money on gas and electric bills. I told her I wasn’t interested and hung up straight away. Definitely blocking this number!

Got a call from some guy with a strong overseas accent and the connection was awful. He said he was my "local energy consultant". When I asked which company he worked for, he admitted he was calling from a call centre in the Philippines. I pointed out that wasn’t exactly local and told him to do one. Pretty clear this is just another dodgy scam run by some foreign fraudsters.

I got a call from a woman speaking with an accent I couldn't place. She wanted to speak to someone I had no idea about. Then she asked if I owned the place. When I said I was just babysitting, she just ended the call.

We’ve had this number for more than 12 years, so its obvious these callers got an old list from scammers. They asked for a name we never use. Every time they call, I tell them not to bother calling again and warn them they might be breaking data protection laws if they keep using wrong info after being told.

Got a call from a lady who somehow knew my name, which was a bit freaky. The number was unfamiliar, so I just ignored it. Probably one of those scam calls again. Some bloke rang me saying I’d been in a car crash or something. I told him it’s tricky because I’m just 12 years old, and that seemed to throw him off. I’m really curious how they even found my phone number in the first place!

Got a call on this number from someone saying they were with Scottish Power. I thought it was a bit off since he sounded quite rude. When I asked for some proof about who he was working for, he just got annoyed and hung up on me. Definitely dodgy!

This company keeps ringing me up every couple of weeks, saying me or someone in my family had an accident within the last three years. I decided to mess about on the phone with them today. They wouldn’t give me any clear details about their company. At one point, they even claimed if my human rights are breached, they can help me get compensation. I told them my human right is to live peacefully without these pointless calls about accidents I’ve never heard of. After that, they put me through to a supervisor, but once I repeated my complaint, the line just got cut. Quite the cheek!
