Some bloke rang me claiming he was from Legal & General about a life insurance policy. Said the broker went under and he could offer me a better deal. So I got in touch with Legal & General themselves and turns out I don’t even have any policy with them. I’m left wondering who’s been nicking my money all this time. If you spot L&G on your bank statement, be warned, it’s not the real Legal & General, it’s a scam. After 5 years, I’m stuck without any life cover. Just now phoning my bank to sort this mess out.

They used my first name
Stated they were representing Legal and General, mentioning that a broker had gone under, but we’ve never engaged with any broker. When I tried returning the call, there was no answer!

Got a spam call so I just blocked it right away.

They rang my mobile twice, but I didn’t pick up. Later, they tried their luck on our landline, and my wife took the call. The person on the other end asked for me by my first name and claimed I had reached out to them online, identifying themselves as Engage Solutions. What a cheeky lot!
