this number called me and played an automated voice saying my internet would get disconnected unless i pressed 1 to talk to an advisor. i was hesitent to press anything fearing it might be one of those costly premium lines, so i just hung up. truth is, i actually wanted to ask them about that threatening message, but felt stuck.

I got a call from an 01476 number saying there was a problem with my broadband and it’d be disconnected in 24 hours if I didn’t act. I hit 1 just to see what they’d do and got connected to someone called Shaun Miller or something like that. I ended the call straight away. Then my phone rang again, this time from 01299679128, and the person asked for me by name. When I asked who it was, he said Shaun Miller and claimed to work for BT. I told him I didn’t buy it and have since blocked both numbers.
