From what I read in earlier comments, this number should definitely get flagged by Ofcom and reported to Action Fraud, especially since these scammers target older folks who are more at risk. There’s honestly way too many scams like this going around.

01639881256 is always popping up as PLATINUM SUPERMARKET. I’ve tried using a call blocker but it seems these callers just switch numbers and manage to get past it every time. The lady who calls has an Asian accent which makes it quite tricky to catch what she’s saying. It’s really annoying!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Platinum Supermarket with a strong Asian accent. He tried to charm me by saying I was the first person he’d talked to all day. When I brought up the TPS registry, he just ended the call before I could ask him to take me off his list.

Just got yet another rubbish scam on my phone, but thankfully my new phone’s Call Guardian stops them right away. It’s a pain having to get a new phone just to dodge these annoying cold calls, but if you’re in the market for a phone upgrade, make sure it has Call Guardian. It’s brilliant because it tells you who’s calling before you pick up, so you can block the spam callers or choose to answer if you want. No more interruptions, which is a total relief!
