Absolutely a scam! I pressed 1 and ended up speaking to a rather shady character who seemed to be on the move.

I received a recorded call purporting to be from an 'official agency', claiming that my National Insurance number had been implicated in multiple fraud incidents. They threatened that if I didn’t confirm my details, my NI number would be revoked and I could face arrest! They instructed me to 'Press 1 to connect with an agent', but I wisely chose to ignore it.
