As soon as I picked up, I was greeted with a pre-recorded voice stating that my National Insurance number had been put on hold due to some supposedly fraudulent activity involving money laundering. I immediately sensed something was off and hung up, recognising it for the scam it was. I've since blocked the number to prevent any further nuisance.
