I've received a suspicious call indicating that my national insurance number is at risk of being suspended. It's definitely not a legitimate enquiry - feels like a scam to me!

I received a recorded message supposedly from some law enforcement agency, claiming that my national insurance number had been involved in unlawful conduct and that they were putting it on hold. I didn’t catch the entire message, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it included an option to press 1 to be transferred or something along those lines. This isn't the first time I've encountered these sorts of calls; they've been coming in thick and fast lately.

I received a voicemail informing me that my National Insurance number was going to be suspended due to alleged connections with illegal activity.
