I didn’t answer this call cos I wasn’t sure who it was, but I saw my phone ringing. Right after that, I got another call from a different number which I reckon was the same lot trying to dodge being blocked by spoofing their number. What’s worked for me is putting my phone on airplane mode - I’m still on it now and can use wifi fine, so it’s blocking their calls. Fingers crossed, once I switch it off these nuisance calls stop. My phone flagged the first one as a possible fraud, which definitely made me suspicious.

I didn’t answer because I wasn’t sure who it was, but the phone rang a few times. Then right after, I got a call from another number that seemed dodgy - feels like the same lot messing around with their numbers to dodge being blocked. I switched my phone to airplane mode (doing that now while still on wifi) and it’s stopped the calls for the moment. Fingers crossed they don’t start ringing again once I switch it off!

I received a rather dubious call claiming to be from HM Revenue & Customs, supposedly concerning VAT. It's evidently a scam! I've since blocked the number.

Received a call on my mobile while I was in Bristol at a quarter past three this afternoon. The number raised a red flag as a possible scam, so I chose not to pick up. They didn’t leave any voice message, which I found a bit suspect, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

Absolutely clueless about this one. It’s a landline number. I decided to do a bit of digging on this site and promptly added it to my blocked list. To be honest, I hardly pick up the phone at all, particularly when it’s from a landline. My friends are aware that the best way to reach me is via text!
