Got a call from someone claiming to be Vodafone, offering a discount of 30%. They asked what I usually pay for my bill, and I just said you tell me. They said it was for verification, but I told them I didn’t know. Then they guessed £20 or £30, and I said no idea (it’s actually higher than that). Suddenly, they upped the offer to a 40% discount if I gave my name, address and post code! I pointed out they should already have that info, but they said no, because they were from Vodafone marketing, and the discount would come after they emailed me a link. I ended the call then, as I was just messing with them anyway - I knew straight away it was dodgy when they asked for my bill amount given they’re my provider! Bit of a joke really.
