There’s this scam going around where you get a robo call saying HMRC is taking you to court and to press one to talk to someone about paying up. Just to be clear, it’s not legit at all. If you get one of these, just hang up right away.

Got a phone call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, said I’d broken the law and they were freezing my pension. She said she’d ring the cops too. The woman sounded Indian but gave the name Margaret. Total scam to steal your info. I asked for a letter with all the details since they supposedly had my info already, but she insisted I verify my details first before they could send anything. Tried a reverse lookup and the number wasn’t even recognised. I’ve blocked it now.
