Got a call from some guy named Michael who spoke English with a strong accent. He claimed to be from some firm called Car Claims Check and said he was ringing for the Finance Conduct Authority. He told me I'd been cheated on car finance between 2007 and 2021 and needed to verify my name and address so they could start sorting out a payment refund. When I told him he was trying to scam me, he just talked over me and then hung up.
