My 10 year old son got a call from this number on his pay as you go phone, and he ended up paying 30p just for hanging up on it. It's so frustrating that these companies waste people's time and even cost them money, especially when it's a kid answering the phone! Why do they even bother calling children?

I got a call from someone working for a claims management firm called Black Pearl Claims. They said they handle PPI refund claims for people, basically chasing up missold PPI for customers.

They keep ringing me up asking about some PPI stuff. It’s getting proper annoying now.

Nobody ever picks up, but they keep on calling me!

They kicked off by mentioning some company called bbp or something along those lines. Then they asked if I’d either forgotten or just hadn’t got around to claiming a refund. That’s when I just said “Yeah, right” and hung up. If you’re on iPhone, you can block their calls by checking the number info right on your phone.
