He went on about supposed fraudulent actions against my name and national insurance. He asked for my details, but I decided to have a bit of fun and gave him a made-up name, telling him there was no way I’d give him any numbers since he was just a scammer and would end up in the underworld. Complete scam! They claimed to be calling “from the warranty team”. When I asked more, they said they were renewing the warranty on my washing machine because it was about to run out……. which is ridiculous as I bought it over 8 years ago, so that’s long gone! Be wary of these scammers! They’re trying to convince you to provide your bank information in order to supposedly reimburse you £119 for Homecare insurance you haven’t even utilised because of COVID. They insist you need to be at your bank within a day, promising an email will follow in a couple of days. I fell for this trick a few weeks back, and wouldn't you know it, they tried it again with me just this morning! The person on the line claimed it was about my washer warranty, but after I told them they were scammers, I asked what brand and model I had. They got it totally wrong. I told them off and then slammed the phone down.

I received a call from someone pretending to be associated with Go Compare Insurance, and they insisted on verifying my address. I promptly ended the conversation-just another scammer trying their luck. It's crucial never to divulge any personal information to these types! Normally, I enjoy drawing out the conversation to hinder their operations, saving someone else from being targeted. Every little effort counts, doesn’t it? Unfortunately, today I was pressed for time and couldn’t do that. I really wish phone companies would find a way to terminate these fraudulent lines; it's utterly disgraceful what they’re doing to unsuspecting individuals, robbing them of hard-earned savings!

I got a call on my home phone from this number. There was a woman with an Indian accent claiming she worked for Virgin Media, talking about our broadband and Internet service. When I kindly mentioned that I wasn't interested, she just chuckled! I ended the call right there. It’s clearly a scam. Stay vigilant, everyone!

This morning, I received a rather curious phone call from someone with an Asian accent. He was keen to discuss a supposed £5000 discount on a life insurance policy. Naturally, I was intrigued and asked him how he obtained our number. He simply stated it was part of their database. We promptly instructed him to erase all our details from their records, warning him that any further calls would lead us to report them. Quite amusingly, he chose that moment to hang up! Received a rather dodgy call today, attempting to persuade me to renew an extended warranty for my washing machine. They claimed my existing one had expired, which is just utter nonsense. I asked for the proper documentation, and when I refused to be lured into activating a new warranty over the phone, they offered to put me through to a supervisor. Clearly, they underestimated my savvy! I told them to shove it and ended the call. Little do they know, my machine is covered for another six years as it came with a generous ten-year guarantee!

I received a rather strange phone call from a woman who had a distinct Asian accent. She claimed that my late husband had taken out a warranty for our washing machine and was supposedly due a refund. To process this, she required my bank details to transfer the funds. *RED FLAGS FLAPPING LOUDLY* When I requested that she simply send a cheque instead, she outright refused. *RED FLAGS RAISED TO AN ALARMING LEVEL* Her insistence was rather unsettling. Given that my husband has passed and would never have arranged such cover for an appliance, I am absolutely certain this is a scam. Although she promised to send a confirmation letter within three days, not a single thing has arrived. This number has bothered me four times already, often asking for my husband, and when I mention his passing, they abruptly hang up. A definite scam, without a shadow of a doubt!
