Got a call from a woman who said she was renewing my home insurance because apparently it was about to run out. She mentioned setting up a new policy to replace the old one and even dropped that my payments were going to go down this year, which made it sound like she knew my current plan. She spoke really smoothly and it was kinda convincing, no wonder others might get tricked. Fortunately, I had my policy details right there and knew it wasn’t due to expire anytime soon, so I dodged a possible scam.

Got a call from a woman claiming they were my home insurance provider for things like boilers and appliances. Complete con, as my policy’s actually with British Gas, not those scammers. Total waste of time!

Got a call without any voicemail left. In the past, I’ve had callers claiming to be from Homeserve, but it turned out to be a scam. Just be careful - always ask them to send any insurance renewal details by post, as that’s usually when they quickly hang up.

They claimed to be from HomeServe trying to get me to renew, but it was clearly a scam.

Got a call from this number claiming they wanted to talk about my insurance cover. I told them I’m already insured with a different provider. At one point, they said my address was wrong, but then they fixed it right away. Definitely feels like a SCAM to me.

Got a call out of the blue saying I’d been in a car crash that wasn’t my fault within the past couple of years. I told them it never happened, but they just kept on asking if there were any kids in the vehicle! Proper irritating, honestly.

I ended the call as soon as the call blocker kicked in.

They claimed to be from my appliance insurance, but when I questioned her about the wrong address she gave, she just laughed. I told her if she can't even get my address right, I don’t believe she’s legit, then ended the call. I tried calling back and was met with a voicemail saying I’d missed a call from them and to contact Homesure Insurance. Problem is, I’ve never had insurance with them, so this is definitely a scam trying to push a policy on you.

Got a call from 01293380142 today about boiler insurance and some kind of maintenance deal. I have no idea what they were on about, never signed up for anything like that. Pretty sure it’s just a scam.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know, it went straight to voicemail as it wasn’t saved. The caller ended the call without leaving a message which felt a bit dodgy so I looked it up here. Just another scammer having a go! The TPS doesn’t seem to catch these calls, but luckily my phone’s got call blocking and it makes unknown callers leave a message first.
