Loads of unknown numbers have been ringing me lately, including this one, all of them cold calls. It’s creepy how much they seem to know about me! The only thing they got wrong was that I’ve never had a PPI claim or anything. I've asked them nicely to stop calling, and sometimes I get really annoyed, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Feels like big firms like BT are just passing our details around. I heard that any paper letters or online statements might have a tiny checkbox you need to tick if you don't want your info sold on. What they should be clear about is: “we'll sell your details to scammers unless you find and tick this tiny box.” So beware, everyone!
