Just got a call from someone called “Helen” from a firm named “Greener Homes”. She was chatting about some small government schemes for homeowners and asked if I own a place. She also mentioned a name but I didn’t confirm anything. I told her I’m registered with the TPS and don’t want marketing calls, asked her to remove my number. She said sorry and hung up, but these sorts of calls always pop up again with a different name. #### Blocked and marked as scam! Really appreciate this site and everyone’s tips here, they’ve been a big help!

Today, 5th December, I got another call from one of these numbers, both of which have been pestering me for months now, since back in September 2023. They always stay silent when I answer. These numbers, 01292 810551 and 01292 810553, seem definitely linked and are pure nuisance calls. Looks like a typical scam to me.

A woman with a really thick Scottish accent rang me. Right after she introduced herself, I told her I couldn’t catch a word she said because her accent was just too strong. She then asked if I owned a house in Scotland. I said no. She quickly apologised and claimed she’d probably got the wrong number (though I reckon that was just a fib - probably dialing through a list she’d been given). Had almost the same call from a similar number last month - 01292 810889. Proper hassle. I’ve blocked them now.
