Got a call from a woman with a Scottish accent asking about my will and power of attorney. I just said yes, I’ve got both sorted, then blocked her number straight away.

I received a rather dubious call from a chap purporting to represent "1st Stop Loans". Strangely enough, he was privy to quite a bit of my personal information. He was touting a low-interest loan deal, but his whole manner was a bit too insistent for my liking, and there was something decidedly off about him.

Got a call out of the blue after I signed up my new fridge freezer. The questions they asked made me think it was a scam. They wanted me to say my name and address, but I already gave that info when I registered, plus my number's on file. I’m not repeating it to anyone who hasn’t proven they're actually from Candy. They didn’t even say who they were properly.

Heads up, got a call from an Indian bloke saying he was from 1st Stop Loans. Oddly, he seemed to know some of my info already, which was a bit dodgy. He tried to convince me they had this amazing low-rate loan that I could get without any hassle or approval. I wasn’t having any of it and asked to see the loan agreement before sharing my bank details. When I checked with 1st Stop Loans, they said they had never contacted me and the number he used isn’t linked to them at all. Don’t fall for this one!

Was quite shocked to find a site talking about this number, thought it was just me getting calls from them. I picked up the phone the second time and a woman with a thick Indian accent was on the line, couldn’t really catch what she was saying, but it sounded like some sort of survey. Still, I had this weird vibe that it was dodgy. Told her I was busy in a meeting and hung up. Since then, they've been ringing nonstop every day, really persistent. I’m definitely gonna block that number soon.
