Got a call earlier today, and it was some automated message pretending to be my bank (which it definitely wasn’t). They mentioned two transactions on my card, including one supposedly from Amazon. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

Got a call this morning at half eight from someone claiming to be Bank Security. They said someone had spent £300 on my Amazon and transferred £1,000 from my account. I wasn’t having any of it, told them to sod off, said bye and they just cut me off. Looked up the number afterwards and blocked it straight away.

I've had two calls now from a number starting with 01290. The first time I tried calling back but no one picked up, so I ended up blocking it. Today, it rang again and when I answered, no one said anything, so I blocked that one too.

Someone rang me claiming his name was David. Pretty clear he wasn’t local. Looks like another one of those calls. I just ended the call straight away.
