Got a phone call claiming my Amazon account would be charged £39.99 and to press 1 to stop the payment. Definitely a scam, they've called me at least half a dozen times now. When I challenged the bloke, who sounded Asian, and told him I wasn’t falling for it, he just hung up on me. Found a piece about this on the Daily Mail dated 6th Nov 2019 - it warns about this Amazon account scam. Had a look online, pretty eye-opening stuff. Be careful, folks!
