Someone called claiming to be from Easy Life, offering me a voucher. I got suspicious when I mentioned struggling to find an official Easy Life contact number, and the caller said they weren’t officially linked. They shared some info about my past orders, which I just acted like I couldn’t recall.

Then, after a month, I reached out to them and all they did was give me my money back with zero explanation or even a heads up that I shouldn't expect the order! Safe2Motor operate out of Cardiff - try sending something to their MD Fiona Phillips at her home address: 7-8 Raleigh Walk Brigantine, Cardiff CF10 4LN. The company is actually LHT Holdings Ltd, same address as Safe2Motor. Their office is Unit G4 Capital Point, Capital Business Park, Cardiff CF3 2PY. Wonder how she'd feel about getting unwanted stuff sent to her own house - absolutely shocking!

Got a call today from 01284771490, didn’t know the number so I just ended the call. He rang back and when I asked who it was, he said his name was Luke. He started talking about some catalogue but I cut him off straight away and said I’m not interested. Been caught out before with my bank details so no chance I’m falling for it again.

Got a ring earlier today from what sounded like a call centre, only answered once I picked up. They said I’d recently bought something from EasyLife (which is true) and already had my name and address sorted. They were trying to pitch some voucher deal promising savings of up to £250 a year. For £1.99, supposedly covering postage, they’d send a £10 voucher to start off. Then after about 2 weeks, they said there’d be a payment close to £60 to automatically sign me up to the scheme. They didn’t ask for my card info at that point, so I asked how they’d take the £1.99 charge and she claimed it was coming from EasyLife. I asked twice if they’d need my permission to access my credit card details from EasyLife but never got a straight answer. That was enough for me. I said a firm no thanks. I’m gonna have a look at my EasyLife account now and see about removing my card details just in case.

I’m going through exactly what others have mentioned here, after buying something from Easylife online last month. I’ve had three unwanted calls already. About a week ago I emailed Easylife to complain, telling them to stop calling and to remove my info from their contact list. They did reply but didn’t say sorry. If they ring again, I’ll definitely be making a formal complaint. Also, I won’t be shopping with Easylife ever again.

So, this company calling itself Safe2motor says they're in Cardiff, but I've seen loads of people saying they've been rung from all sorts of different numbers. I’ve actually emailed the Managing Director of Easylife to ask him about it, since it sounds like they might be breaking Data Protection rules pretty badly.

Got a call a couple days back on my home phone from an Asian bloke speaking super fast with an accent I couldn’t quite catch. Even after asking several times for them to take my information off their records, they ignored my requests. I eventually ended the call and blocked the number. Got a call on my mobile from 01284771490 about a purchase I supposedly made with Easylife earlier this year. The person on the phone was pushing me to join some voucher scheme and dangled a £10 Petrol Voucher as bait. They also went on about a discount plan for garage services costing £59.99 a year. Even after I said I wasn’t interested, they kept insisting they’d send me info through the post. It got worse when they claimed I’d already agreed to the vouchers - that’s when I told them there’s no chance and hung up sharpish. Be careful - it’s a total scam.

If they request your card details to cover the postage on a coupon, ask why a simple 5p envelope and a 2nd class stamp would set you back close to £2. Then tell them it’d be simpler to just take the costs off the voucher itself! After that, mention you’ll have to switch the call over to a premium rate number - say, about 0909 123 4567 - and politely ask if they could explain all this again, but a bit more slowly for you to understand. Don’t forget to remind them that any extra charges are putting money in your pocket, not theirs!

Got a ringing from these pest a while ago, my missus handed the phone over to me and straight away they asked for me by my proper name. My landline rang but as soon as the answerphone kicked in, they just cut off. I dialled 1471, grabbed the number, and added it to my phone's block list. Hopefully they won’t bother me on my mobile too!

Got a call saying I had won a voucher for doing a survey. Told them straight I never did any survey and was basically accused of lying! Also told them I’m on the TPS list, so they aren’t allowed to call me. She wouldn’t say how they got my info, which is pretty sketchy!

A young lady rang from some insurance firm called Safe to Motor, saying I'd get a £10 voucher if I took part in a survey. I told her I hadn't done any survey but she just carried on anyway. She kept saying she just needed non-sensitive info like my bank card expiry, number and security code! I messed about with her for a bit then said no thanks. It really disgusts me because I reckon older or vulnerable folks might fall for this.

I got a call from some woman saying I did a survey with their firm last year, but I’ve never heard of them before. I didn’t give any info and just ended the call straight away. Like some people mentioned, I got a call about a petrol voucher and they asked for my address. I said I wasn’t interested, ended the call, and blocked the number. Best to stay well clear of this one!

This number comes up as being from Bury St Edmunds. They've called me at least a couple times every day; it's definitely a scam, just trying to get your bank info. I've blocked it now and reckon you should too.

I wouldn’t bother answering if that number calls you. They were insisting on speaking to someone specific in my home. When I asked who they were, they just said they're a fairly new business and wouldn’t explain what the call was about unless they got that person. I just hung up immediately.

this firm took £1.99 from my account and really should be reported and blacklisted. They promised discounts on well-known items but didnt send me a thing. I rang their number but couldnt get through to anyone. what’s worse is they plan to charge me another £59 after 14 days for a yearly fee with nothing in return. if anyone can share their name so i can sort this out properly, that’d be great.

Got a call on my mobile from this number, says they’re from Bury St Edmunds. They claimed I made a purchase with them sometime in the past year but didn’t give any specifics. Then they offered me a £10 fuel voucher. At the end of the chat, they asked for my bank card info, which obviously I didn’t give. Hung up straight away.

At around 6:55 pm on 15/02/17, I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise on my mobile. I picked up and the caller, who sounded like they might have been Asian, possibly Indian or Pakistani, actually called me by my name. Confused, I asked who they were, then the line went dead. No clue who they were or what the call was about.

A person calling claiming you can get free petrol vouchers, but then they try to get your bank or credit card info. Pretty sure this is what they call Vishing. Stay clear!!

Got a call from "safe to motor" or something like that, super rude bloke who kept cutting me off while I was saying no thanks. He claimed they'd send me a voucher but wanted my bank info to take out £1.99. Kept pushing even after I told him I wasn’t interested. One of my patients ended up listening to him for about 20 minutes trying to get the details out of us. Then they rang back after we hung up, still really pushy when I told them not to call again. They gave me this number 08445679394 to ring with my bank stuff - definitely dodgy.
