I just had a right dodgy phone call! An automated voice tried to scare me into thinking that my BT Broadband was on the verge of being cut off unless I did something about it. It’s really quite distressing, especially for those who might fall for this sort of trickery.

Got a call with a recorded message saying my bt broadband connection would be cut off today if I didn’t do something about it. They told me to press some buttons to either confirm the disconnection or to chat with a ‘bt engineer’. Definitely felt like a scam, so I just ignored it.
