Allegedly got a call from Visa's fraud department. They mentioned some transactions for £300 to Amazon. I promptly hung up the phone!

Got a robo call telling me my visa card had been used for some purchases on Amazon and Western Union - bit odd since I don’t even have a visa here in the UK. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.

Got another automated call on my home phone today, but this time from a different number. It said that two sums of money were withdrawn from my account - one for about £300 and another for more than a grand. They asked me to ‘press 1’ to contact security. Don’t fall for it, don’t press anything! Ever since I switched my mobile from Virgin to O2, the scam calls have seriously increased on my mobile too.

They rang my landline but never left a voicemail. Honestly, I hardly pick up the home phone now. If it really matters, I’m sure they’ll leave a message.
