Got a call from some lady with a thick accent pretending to be from BT, told me my broadband was going to get cut off soon. Totally obvious scam, just hangs up when you ask questions.

Got a phone call from some woman with a strong accent pretending to be from BT. She said my internet service was about to be cut off, sounded totally dodgy. Definitely one of those obvious scams.

Saw an international number on my landline and decided not to answer. I looked it up later and it came up as risky. Honestly, don’t bother picking up unless you’re waiting for someone abroad.

I got two calls from the States, didn’t pick either. They looked a bit dodgy, like scammy stuff. The numbers were 001283712877 and 001752668390. Wouldn’t bother answering if I were you.

Just like everyone else has said, I keep getting calls from this number saying BT is going to cut off my internet. It’s really annoying and they’re so persistent. I’ve blocked and deleted the number but I worry loads of folks might get tricked and end up pressing 1 or something.

Big thanks to the commenter who gave the heads up! I've been getting loads of calls all day from numbers that start with way too many zeros, which doesn’t seem right for UK phones. Usually, the phone barely rings before they hang up, so most folks probably don’t even get a chance to pick up. Also be careful of loads of calls coming from various numbers that all finish with 7, 17, or 117.

Got a call earlier claiming to be from BT saying my internet would be disconnected. This isn't the first time either, I've had loads of these dodgy calls, already had three today alone. The first one came from a number starting with 01288 (01288838174) with the exact same robotic message. Proper annoying!

Got a recorded call from a woman with a foreign accent claiming my BT broadband was getting cut off today. Then, it went on with the usual "Press 1 for this," "Press 2 for that" nonsense. Had two more calls just like it - one from a UK number 01285245504 and another where the number was hidden. Totally a dodgy scam, so definitely don't press any buttons they tell you to.

Got a call from some people claiming to be BT tech support, saying they’d cut my internet if I didn’t sort something out. Ended up being passed over to the 1572 number. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

Got a robotic message claiming BT’s about to disconnect our internet. It rang me 3 times today alone. I blocked the number, but I reckon they’ll just switch to a new one and keep ringing nonetheless...
