6 yearsI got a call saying that just minutes ago, some dodgy transaction happened and loads of money had been sent overseas from my bank account.7 yearsSo, I got an email from some bloke claiming to be from a claim advice company, said he had a cheque for £360 for a PI claim. But to get it, I had to buy a paysafe card worth £200. The guy called himself Alex Williams. Then another fella, Mr Robinson, phoned me saying he'd bring the cheque over, and only then was I supposed to give him my paysafe card details. I immediately yelled out that it sounded like a scam, and he quickly hung up.Alex WilliamsRobinson7 yearsOur bank kept charging us way too much and had to give some money back. I’d never come across anyone called “harry” with an Asian accent before. I decided to hear him out, but once he’d finished his sales spiel, I blew my police whistle right near the phone! Being retired, we’ve always dodged these fees, so this felt like yet another trick to get our details. Hopefully, they’ll wise up one day.Harry7 yearsgot a call from someone claiming to be robert williams but his accent sounded asian, which seemed odd. he said he was from the claims advisory group and mentioned i was owed a cheque from my bank for some charges. i let him talk for a bit but as soon as he asked what bank i use, i just hung up.Robert Williams7 yearsI got a call from someone called Laura Scott, who claimed she’d sort out refunds for all the extra bank charges. Sounds dodgy to me, just another scam trying to trick people.Laura Scott7 yearsGot a message on my answerphone from some random number, no clue who it was or what it was about.
