SCAM ALERT, THEY AUTOMATICALLY CALL YOU THEN WHEN YOU PICK UP SOME WOMAN PRETENDS TO BE FROM O2. SHE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT HOW IRRITATED I WAS WITH THE CONSTANT CALLS AT 9 IN THE MORNING, 2 IN THE AFTERNOON, AND EVEN AT NIGHT. SO I USED THIS WEBSITE TO CHECK THE NUMBER AND BLOCKED IT RIGHT AWAY. PROBLEM SORTED. TOTAL SCAM, SOUNDED LIKE SOME SHADY SCOUNDREL TRYING TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK.

They said they were from O2 but honestly, the way they spoke didn’t seem like a proper O2 worker at all. I wouldn’t trust them if I were you. If they ring you up, best just block the number straight away. As soon as I realised what they were on about, I just hung up. Plus, the call came from a Burnley number which felt dodgy since I’ve never had O2 call me from around there before.

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, asking how much I usually top up on PAYG and saying they might have better SIM-only offers. I told them if they already had my number and knew I was on PAYG, they should have my top-up info anyway. Then I got a text pretending to be from O2UK with a code to enter to "keep registering". Registering what? I rang O2 myself and they said they do have third parties calling on their behalf and transferred me to their fraud team. Still feels dodgy to me though.
