Got a robo call from 01282867836. Some muppet claiming it was my bank and that I had suspicious activity on my account, but they never said which bank. It was one of those annoying automated messages telling you to press 1 to stop or press 2 to fix it. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

I just received a phone call from this number attempting to persuade me with a straightforward deal from O2. When I mentioned that I was already a customer with O2, the chap became rather impolite and abruptly ended the conversation. Quite unprofessional, if you ask me!

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from O2, he was trying to get hold of my partner. I told him he wasn't around and works out of town. He asked when would be a good time to call back, but I said I had no idea when he'd be back. Then the bloke said he'd ring again in a couple of weeks. I just went ahead and blocked the number.

Someone said they was from O2 but it’s a total con. I’d say everyone should report this to the ICO and help get these scammers fined. Just go to https://ico.org.uk - then click on Make a complaint - then choose Report Nuisance call. It only takes a couple of mins!

I got a call from some bloke saying he was with O2, saying I’d supposedly ordered a SIM card - which I definitely hadn’t. He kept insisting he could send one out if I just gave him my address. I said no thanks nicely, and then he started asking who else lived at my place! So I just ended the call and blocked the number.

Lately I keep getting calls from loads of different numbers, so I picked up the last couple of days. Three calls from various towns, all asking for someone called James, and then a bloke named Adam from O2. I always just say I’m not interested and block straight away, but it gets tricky cause they keep ringing from new numbers.

Just like a few others here, I got a dodgy call supposedly from O2 after I got a couple of scam texts. They knew my first name and said I’d won an iPhone in a competition I never even entered. They said they were from O2, but when I rang O2 myself, they said there’s nothing on my account from 8 years ago. Definitely a scam. Make sure you block and report them.
