Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent claiming to be from EE. She told me my SIM would be cut off in 24 hours due to issues with BT and 3 Mobile, and that a replacement SIM would be sent the next day. When I asked some questions, she just kept echoing the same script over and over - like three times for each thing I said. Then, out of nowhere, she just hung up on me. Pretty sus if you ask me.

I got a call but no one spoke on the other end. Honestly, I’m not sure what to make of it.

A caller rang me claiming to be from EE, saying my SIM was going to be deactivated soon. They said I’d get a fresh SIM by post but only after I confirmed my details with them. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

This number keeps calling me over and over but never bothers to drop a voicemail, pretty sure it’s just some spam.

I got a call from a lady who sounded like she was speaking from one of those call centres in India or Pakistan. She said EE would be sending out new SIM cards in a couple of days and asked me for my EE memorable number or my email so she could get into my account and arrange the new SIM. I told her straight up that sounded dodgy and like a scam, and she just ended the call. This happened on 12 May 2026, and the number she called from was 01282 573601.

Seems like a random call from an unknown source marked as annoying. Don’t pick up.

Someone rang me saying they were from EE and that because of some merger with BT, they’d be sending me a new SIM. Then they started asking for my security details, which felt wrong, so I just ended the call. Definitely one of those social engineering cons. Also, it was odd because I only use an eSIM anyway 🥀

I didn’t even get to say anything because the person on the other end just stayed silent, then ended the call. Felt like one of those annoying phishing scams so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from a number I didn't recognise, my phone flagged it as spam so I just ignored it. Then they rang me two more times in less than five minutes! Ended up blocking the number. Seems dodgy, watch out - likely scammers.

Got two calls from 01282 573601 saying they were from O2 and had a 40% discount offer. I called O2 myself to double-check and found out it was a scam. I didn’t give out my email and just ended the call.

I picked up the phone by accident and some bloke with a strong Indian accent said he was from O2, then just hung up straight away.

Someone rang claiming to be from Three, saying they had to send me a new SIM card because of a Vodafone merger. They asked for my postcode, but I told them I don’t share personal info and to just send it to the billing address they already have. She then said their team can’t access billing details. I’m pretty sure it’s a scam, though Three do use outside firms to handle sales sometimes. Either way, I wouldn’t answer if it calls back.
