I caught some weird background noise, like atmos or something, then it just went totally quiet. The person just dropped the call without a word. Reading through other comments, I noticed a call I got last month sounds just like what others described. Wouldn’t shock me at all if it’s the same bunch of scammers behind both calls.

Just like the earlier call, this one said they were from Vodaphone. They couldn't say the name of who they wanted though, so I nicely said no thanks and hung up. After that I blocked the number so they wouldn't call me again.

Got a call supposedly from Burnley, with a caller saying they were from EE. They told me my phone number was old and urged me to do something so I could get a new number. They said they'd send me a new SIM card, but I told them I'd have to check with whoever manages the account and ended the call. They kept asking who the account holder was and didn’t even know my name, which felt off. I’ve blocked the number now and figured I’d share this experience so others don’t fall for the same thing.
