Could hear a lot of noise like a call centre in the background. They didn’t say a single word and just ended the call on me.

So, I got two calls from this number. The first time, they just dropped the call. When they tried again, someone picked up pretending to be from Amazon, saying I’d ordered an iPhone. Couldn’t make out a word the bloke was saying - sounded like a right muppet.

A chap rang me, claiming he was from Amazon and that there had been an attempt to purchase an iPhone using my account. When I suggested I’d reach out to customer services personally to verify if he was legit, he promptly disconnected the call. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

My mobile suggested that I give this call a miss, as it was likely just another spammer trying their luck. Curiosity got the better of me, so I picked it up anyway. Lo and behold, my phone's judgement was spot on; the caller didn’t utter a single word before abruptly ending the call. Quite a waste of time, really!
