I let the phone ring out, and the caller ended up leaving a message, claiming my line would be cut off as of today. They urged me to press 1 to chat with BT if I wanted to sort the issue, or press 2 if I intended to cancel my internet service.
Clearly, this is some sort of dodgy scam since I’m not experiencing any disconnection, and I don’t even use BT as my provider! The voice had a distinctly American twang to it.
