Well, tough luck for him, he shouldn’t have tried to pull a scam on me.

I rang up OneInsurance on 01782 781500, based in Stoke-on-Trent, to get a quote for car insurance. After giving all my info, the woman I spoke to, who had a strong Cockney accent, put me on hold to check with her manager about a quote through Hertz insurance. Then, for some reason, I was passed over to another caller, a Cockney bloke who said his name was Mike and the number showed as 01279 729280, Bishops Stortford. He said he was from Sterling Insurance and asked me to repeat all my details again. He then told me the best quote he could offer was over £500, so I declined and ended the call. Shortly after, the first woman called me back but this time from 0191 594 9970, which is a Sunderland number - odd considering she said she was from Stoke. She asked if I’d got a quote, and when I said I’d been transferred, she initially acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. After a bit she apologised and we hung up.
