Got a call from someone pretending to be from BT tech support, sounded like it was coming from far away. I didn't stick around to hear their whole spiel or what they were after.

I received an automated call on my home phone claiming my IP address was in danger and to press '1' to fix it. I hung up straight away since it was obviously a scam. I also blocked the number and activated call blocking on my phone.
