This phone number belongs to a government research firm, and they’re incredibly persistent! You can't seem to shake them off!

They kept ringing to ask our nursery managers to fill out a survey, which we already did. Even after telling them that, they wouldn’t stop. When we asked them to send the email again, they’d launch into a long spiel about what still needed doing. If you hang up, they just ring straight back to carry on talking. Their website says the survey’s optional, but the way they keep pestering you, it feels like you’ve got no choice.

Im pretty sure this number is legit and safe to answer. Ive had a call from NHS Digital using it, they were following up after I got a letter from them about a week before. They were inviting us to take part in the Health Survey for England and the call came after I left a message on the NHS Digital freephone number.

I’m utterly appalled by the incessant calls that keep pestering the elderly chap I look after, who happens to be 85 and battling Alzheimer’s. It’s infuriating how these wretched scammers target the most vulnerable among us. They've resorted to faking phone numbers, and this particular nuisance is ringing in all the way from India, not anywhere near Brentwood as they’d have you believe. The company conducting surveys is genuine - they specialize in life and health research for government statistics. However, it's important to note that if they request your bank details, it's likely fraudsters posing as the company. Initially, both my husband and I consented to being interviewed at our residence. A friendly lady arrived for the interview. I, however, have decided to discontinue participating as it proved to be quite time-consuming and somewhat intrusive. Nonetheless, my husband continues with the survey.

Got a call today with a voicemail claiming to be from NatCen, and funny enough, I got a letter from them through D.W.P. Honestly, the D.W.P. really ought to be more careful handing out personal details to these survey folks. I can’t wrap my head around how the D.W.P. manage to dodge the G.D.P.R. rules - that data protection law is supposed to stop this stuff. I’d say best not to pick up or give out any personal info if they ring you.
