Some guy, I think he was Indian, claimed he was from Microsoft security and asked me to show my PC system details and my unique software licence number. Then he got me to check my internet status and claimed loads of hackers were targeting me. I kept saying no even though he warned that Microsoft would deactivate my licence to stop the hacking spreading. I told him I’d rather take the risk and he just said thanks for wasting his and Microsoft’s time. He was trying to get me onto a remote desktop site. What a total conman. Why can’t the police just crack down on this rubbish?

Just like others mentioned, this was a complete rip-off. Some muppet phoned me pretending to be from the Microsoft Support crew but was going on about my Operating System Licence or something! Then he went on about loads of suspicious files on my PC! Said he was calling from the MS London branch, but when I asked for his full name, staff ID and his boss’s name, he got all nervous and just ended the call. BE WARNED - THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM.

Got a call from an Asian bloke claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my computer was hacked. I humoured him for a bit then flat out told him he was trying to scam me and I wouldn’t give any info. Afterwards, he just called me a f##king muppet and told me to f##k off. Reading some of the other comments, I don’t understand why this number is still allowed to be used.

I got a call from an Asian guy claiming he was from Microsoft, talking about my computer. He tried to convince me he was legit by offering to give me their licence number when I asked for proof. I told him that meant nothing to me since I couldn’t verify it myself. He kept pushing for me to turn my computer on. I said I wasn’t daft like he seemed to think, might’ve even told him off a bit cause I was fed up with these annoying calls, then just hung up.

Some bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft called me. Now when I hear that accent on the phone, I just put the receiver down and leave it off the hook for a few minutes until they give up. With all the recent fuss about chip problems, especially Intel but not only them, scammers are really active right now. If anyone says they're from Microsoft (or any company you don't already deal with) and asks about your PC, it's definitely a con. The phone companies really should’ve sorted this out ages ago, like how the tech world teams up to deal with bugs, spam, and viruses.

I received a call from an Asian chap with a thick accent claiming to be from Microsoft, and he was after the owner of a Microsoft computer. Instinctively, I realised it was a bit dodgy, so I decided to have a bit of fun with him instead. I threw out some daft questions like, "Which computer are you referring to?" and "How on earth do you know I own one?" It was amusing to see him getting flustered. Eventually, I told him to knock off with the nonsense, and that really seemed to rattle his cage. He ended up hurling some colourful language my way before slamming the phone down. Quite the laugh, if you ask me!

Yet another instance of deceit tarnishing the reputations of genuine individuals from India and Pakistan. This bunch of dishonest tricksters, masquerading as Microsoft software developers from London, are nothing more than lowly thieves. With their questionable grasp of the English language, they spin tales of fraud, preying on unsuspecting victims in their relentless pursuit of ill-gotten gains. I called my father, who's 74, to inform him that he’s supposed to receive £260 a year since he’s not online. The bloke on the other end wouldn’t stop pressuring him for his bank details, insisting he could transfer the money directly. Dad, a bit fed up, suggested they just send it through the post instead, and then promptly hung up. But wouldn’t you know it, the same chap rang him again, having a right go at him!

Quick update, this number should be cut off now since the police got involved. We had to switch our number. If it keeps calling people, could you please send me all the info you have about the call so I can give it to the police? My email’s [email protected][###] Thanks a lot!

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to be Sophie from the Microsoft Security Team. Definitely a phishing attempt, so I just ended the call. Microsoft wouldn’t have my number anyway.

I received three phone calls from this number. During the first one, I could tell it was from a call centre, but there was nobody on the other end who bothered to speak. Then, on the second and third calls, they started interrogating me about my computer. I decided to cut it short and hung up each time!

Got a call at 9:30 in the morning from a bloke with an Indian accent. He claimed he was from Microsoft and wanted to talk about my Windows 10 PC. I cut him off quick, saying “you clearly don’t know me ‘cause I don’t even own a Windows machine!” Then I just ended the call!

Some bloke ringing up saying he was from Microsoft tech support, telling me my laptop was being hacked and he needed to send updates to fix it. I hung up right away, but he called back straight away, getting all shouty, saying 'You don't get it, I need to get into your PC to show you the hack and then send the updates.' I told him I’d report him to the UK fraud people.

They pretended to be from Microsoft. The guy went on about issues with our PC. When we told him we don’t even own a computer, he got annoyed, called us stupid and abruptly ended the call. These scammers should be tracked down, it only takes one vulnerable person to lose money to them.

Received a call claiming to be from Microsoft tech support. As I don’t own any Microsoft items, I swiftly ended the call. It’s evident this is one of those scams!

This guy claimed he was from Microsoft, but when I told him I don’t even have a laptop, he just straight up called me a liar. Quite cheeky, if you ask me!

Got a call, said it was from Microsoft - probably from India or somewhere like that. They rattled on about some virus on my computer and asked me to do some stuff. If I’m not busy, I enjoy wasting these scammers’ time. When I finally catch them out, they usually get rude and start throwing insults about my family. Always makes me chuckle :)

This morning at 7.18 I got a call from this number. The person was saying something about my computer, but I couldn't properly understand them. I told them straight up it sounded like a scam and asked if they even realised what time it was! So annoying! I’m in West Sussex, not sure if that makes a difference.
