Got a call from a bloke with a weird accent, asking about my laptop or computer. I told him straight up I don’t have one. He went quiet for a bit, then I asked if he needed to ask anything else. Next thing he’s telling me to “f” off, not once, but twice, like I’d been rude to him! Honestly, these types of calls need to be stopped, it’s about time some action was taken against these groups.

Honestly, I kind of wish I'd picked up because I've got a cheeky little plan for these scammers. I keep a whistle like a police officer’s right by the phone, and when I do pick up, I let them chat, then blow it loudly in their ear - the sharp, shrill sound really throws them off. Highly recommend giving it a go; it’s oddly satisfying to give these scam callers a taste of their own medicine!

This morning I got two calls from them, both times I said I'm not interested and hung up. Then she called back, sounded annoyed that I ended the call. I told her I'd been working nights and wasn’t about to get up just for a call. She said she'd ring again later, so I’m bracing myself for that.

Got a call from someone named Isaac, sounded like he had an Indian accent. He said he was with Windows and wanted to know if I was having issues with my PC. When he asked to talk to the primary user, I told him there were a bunch of people using it. That seemed to confuse him, and then he just ended the call!

Got a call from a Rewari, India call centre. Told them I was using an Apple MacBook and then just shouted "Mrs Brown's Boys says, buzz offffff!" Felt good!

Similar to a few others, I got a call around 7:10 this morning. I rushed to answer since my father-in-law isn’t well right now, but I didn’t manage to pick it up. Completely annoyed to be woken up so early and stressed by these scammers.

I picked up since it showed a Bradford area code, some Asian bloke called Isaac claiming to be from Microsoft. I just said "nah, I don't think so" and cut the call off. Blocked the number straight away. Best not to pick up and just block these idiots. Microsoft don’t ring people directly.

I just got a ring from a bloke called 'David' claiming to be from Microsoft (definately had a thick Indian accent). He said there was an issue with my computer and offered to sort it out. Asked me to switch on my PC. Normally, when these calls come through, I try to keep them talking for as long as I can, thinking that at least I’m stopping them from pestering someone who might fall for it. But this guy must’ve clocked what I was up to and ended the call quickly - bit unfair really, I quite enjoy messing around with these scammers!

This number just rang me up. Some bloke with an Indian accent said he was from Microsoft and warned me about a Windows security issue. I told him I don't even use Windows, and then he went on to ask if I had a Mac instead! I've had loads of calls like this lately, usually from 'International' numbers. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me. I told him I'd be reporting them to the police.

Just got a call around 1.30pm from a bloke claiming he’s from Microsoft. He said there was a problem with my laptop. I told him that my work handles any problems with the company laptop, and he went and called me a "mother f##ker". Lovely! Come on, ring me again, I’m ready for a laugh!

Got a call from this number at about 7.20am on 1/11/17. My 94-year-old mum didn’t pick up fast enough, so I hurried to her room to call back, worried it might be about my dad who’s in hospital. But when I called the number back, it just clicked and said it wasn’t valid. Proper frustrating after seeing what others said about it.

Got a ring from this number earlier, some bloke wanting a word with my husband about our computer. I asked for their company registration number cos I suspected a scam (thought it was dodgy!). Same old Windows scam again. I did what I normally do, asked him which exact computer he was talking about and then mentioned that the machine runs on Linux, not Windows. He seemed clueless about Linux, so I bluntly told him to jog on. Honestly, I was a bit shocked when he just dropped the call! Not exactly the manners I expected.

Some bloke with a foreign accent claimed he was calling from Microsoft. When I questioned whether it was a scam, he insisted he'd prove it. So I played along and he asked for my PC’s serial number. I just made up a random one and he said it was right! Then I told him I actually use a Mac, and he accused me of lying and wasting his time. Then his mate jumped on the line, called me a troublemaker, and even said my wife hated me! That’s when she started laughing out loud and they quickly hung up. I've blocked the number now, but at least I managed to waste their time a bit.

Got a random call on my landline early morning, like 8:15 on 26th October. When I picked up, all I heard was some weird beeping noise. Bit strange if you ask me.

First time I made it crystal clear I wasn’t interested and suspected it was a scam, then I hung up. Not even a minute later, he called again. My missus picked up the second time and told him to hang on while she started recording the call. Then they just hung up.

Today we got loads of calls from this number, a bloke with a strong Asian accent who sounded totally daft. He kept going on about a red alert on our computer. The guy got really angry and started shouting, even threatening to come round and call the cops, accusing us of running some dodgy scam on our computer. I was trying to ring the police on my phone while he was still yelling at my husband on the landline. We told him we knew it was a scam, but he wouldn’t back down. If this number rings you, just block it and don't give out any details, it’s definitely a con.

Got a call from a man claiming to be from 'Microsoft', said my computer was hacked by some folks in China doing dodgy stuff. I played along for a bit, then he said I was wasting his time, so I pretty much told him to get lost. The same number rang again a minute later, but it went straight to voicemail.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who said his name was Peter. There was a lot of noise in the background, like he was in some sort of call centre or something. He claimed to be from Microsoft Cyber Security and told me my computer was riddled with a virus. He even gave me a number to ring back on: 02081446448. Obviously, it was a total scam. Got a call from someone with a thick Indian accent, sounded like a busy call centre in the background. I ended the call pretty fast the first time. Then they rang back, this time really rude and pushy, asking why I’d ended the call. Said they were from Microsoft and claimed my computer had been hacked and would be locked in 45 mins. I kept asking them for a contact number but they just avoided answering. So, I just hung up again.

When I handed the phone over to my partner, Jason said our computer was hacked and needed restarting. Some bloke rang me up claiming he was from Microsoft, saying there was a issue with my computer. I'm an IT contractor, so I thought I'd have a bit of fun messing with him. After a while, I told him I actually worked in the IT Fraud division for Scotland Yard. You could hear him swallow hard and then suddenly the line went dead. Proper made my day! :D

Got a call from a guy who mentioned my postcode (which was right) and claimed Microsoft had spotted issues with my PC. He threw out a Microsoft licence number and promised to fix my computer to make it run "like new." I played the fool and kept chatting with him for more than 10 minutes. Then, when he passed me to the so-called "senior technician," I told him I wasn’t buying the story and reckoned it was a scam, so he just ended the call.

Yup, another one of those Microsoft scam calls. They hung up as soon as I said I’m not on Windows. Honestly, if they actually kept an eye on the VOIP systems, they could track these lot easily. Don’t ever give in to these calls, just keep them chatting for a bit - wastes their time and gets them proper annoyed. That way, they won’t be able to make as many calls daily.
