Earlier today, we received a call from someone claiming to be from Virtual PC World, insisting that there was a dangerous virus on our shiny new laptop. Curiously, they offered no solid proof or details whatsoever. When I mentioned that we were just a couple of kids and that our mum was out at work, they seemed unfazed and insisted on speaking to her later. I found it quite odd that they were perfectly comfortable handing over instructions to a twelve-year-old. We suspect it's a bit dodgy, to say the least!

I've just received another call from this lot of numpties. They're now claiming to be affiliated with Microsoft!

We've received a trio of rather aggressive cold calls from a company claiming to offer assistance for Windows, called Virtual PC World. These folks come across as overly eager to help with the error issues our computer apparently sends to Windows. Quite concerning, really!

My dear mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's and doesn’t own a computer, received a call from these individuals. During the conversation, she mistakenly mentioned that we did have a computer and gave them our phone number. They wasted no time in contacting us while my mother was still on the line, telling us a rather tall tale about viruses. Alarm bells started ringing when she couldn’t recall where we lived, so she decided to hang up on them.

Received three calls from a group claiming to be based in Bradford, England, and representing a virtual PC world. They insisted that my computer had been compromised, stating it had various viruses and that someone was misusing our data. They assured us they would guide us through the removal process and directed us to input certain commands. After that, they instructed us to get back in touch with them. We’re somewhat unsure but sceptical about whether they’re actually con artists!

I seem to be inundated with calls from this number - not an exaggeration, but a minimum of once a day without fail. Each time, the callers claim that our computer is riddled with viruses and that they've been receiving error reports from us. They then proceed to offer to guide us through the process of 'fixing' it. Whatever you do, don’t share any personal details with these con artists. They’re nothing short of scammers!

My partner received a call today from some folks claiming to be affiliated with Microsoft, mentioning something about error reports being sent their way. They also brought up Virtual PC World. Anyway, we decided to ring them back since my missus was rather reluctant to engage with them directly. Whatever you do, don’t share any personal information with these jokers - they’re clearly trying to pull a fast one!
