I've been getting calls almost every day on my work number, about 7 times daily. They have this Asian accent, claiming to be from "BT." I've told them loads of times to quit calling, but they just don't stop. It's super frustrating!

Hey, just wanted to say our home number is being used by someone else. We really don't know who’s behind it. We’ve told the police already and we’re really sorry if this caused you any trouble. Calls have been coming in from all over the place. We haven’t made any calls ourselves and have no clue what’s going on. Best thing is to just ignore those calls and get in touch with the police. If anyone tries to ask you for money, please don’t respond and report it straight away. This definitely feels like a scam.

Got a call from a bloke called Lawrence, sounded Asian, said he was from BT along with his supervisor, another guy called Sam. They reckoned seven people were mooching off my internet without permission. Played them along for about 15 mins before telling them to jog on, had a laugh winding them up. Proper bunch of wankers!

Kept getting calls today from 01274664170, supposedly BT saying I got some harmful software being downloaded. An Indian guy named “John” was on the line. I’ve rang them so many times now, really starting to annoy me. Truly fed up with these calls!

01274 664170 rang me saying they were from BT and had spotted an issue with my internet. They told me if I got on my computer, they could demonstrate the problem! Honestly, I believed such calls were a thing of the past, but guess not. Seems like at this time of year, they’re hoping to trick folks who might be easily fooled or isolated. Just a heads up to everyone - tell your pals. What's odd is they claimed their address was in London EC1, yet the phone number showed up with a Bradford code!

Had a bloke with an Asian accent named Lawrence ring me up, along with his manager, Sam - also Asian sounding - claiming my internet had seven dodgy users leeching off it. I played them for a good 15 minutes before finally telling them to jog on, made it clear I’d been winding them up the whole time. Total bunch of muppets!

Today, I got a call from a woman who claimed to be from BT. She told me my internet was infected and someone was hacking into it. When she asked me to check my computer or laptop, I told her I don’t have either, just an iPhone. After that, she just ended the call.

Kept saying they were from BT Security, kept ringing me 7 times today even after I asked them twice to stop calling. These lot aren't just irritating, they're proper scammers trying to pull a fast one. Total rubbish.

This number rang me about 4 times today. I usually ignore calls like this, but since it kept coming through, I figured there might be something important. When I finally picked up, a bloke claimed he was from BT tech support, saying there were problems with my broadband and he needed to get on my computer to fix it. I told him I suspected it was a scam, and quite boldly, he told me to check my computer myself. So I asked him who my internet provider was, and he just dropped the call straight away.

When they requested that I power it on for their assessment, I declined their offer. They then warned me that if I didn’t comply, my internet service could be disconnected within two hours.

At first, it’s dead quiet, then some bloke (once it was a woman) starts pushing me to let them into my computer, claiming dodgy people are using my internet without permission. I've told them flat out to stop calling, but they just keep at it. After looking it up here, I’m going to block it. This morning I got four calls from a number based in Bradford. They claimed to be from BT, though their names were always something like Claire or Kevin. The moment I said I’m with the police and it’s a work phone I’m on, they just cut off straight away. Blocked that number now!
