I recently received a rather dubious call regarding my driveway. Initially, the caller claimed to hold some sort of details about it-a clear fabrication, I might add. It was a rather generic opening line along the lines of, “We gather you still have a driveway at your residence, is that right?” There wasn’t even a hint of who they were or the purpose of their call until I pressed them for clarification on my third attempt. Despite their claims of being representatives from "The Driveway Centre," when I decided to return the call, I was greeted by a voicemail from something called 'Fillitastica Marketing.' Quite the mix-up, wouldn't you say? Quite frankly, it felt disingenuous from the outset.

I keep gettin calls from some bloke John about driveways, reckon he’s got at least 3 numbers he rings from. Tried blockin em but still gettin bothered, sometimes more than once a day. Told him to stop, said I’m on the do not call list and used to be in debt collection, but the calls only got worse. He even switched numbers to get through when I blocked one. Proper annoying!

A bloke called "John" claiming to be from the "Driveway Centre" sounded pretty courteous. He gave me a bell from 01622 292481 on the 5th of April as well. He was asking if I intended to renew my driveway, mentioning it was for some kind of feature in a magazine or something like that. I told him, just like before, that I’d already sorted it. When I queried where he’d sourced my number, he said it was from the "Renewable Energy Database". He ended the call shortly after that. Bit dodgy if you ask me.
