Got a call from this number telling me my boiler service was up for renewal and they wanted payment. Claimed to be linked with British Gas or something, even asked for my bank card's expiry date. Definitely a scam.

I got a call from a guy with a strange accent who knew my name and asked for my postcode. He claimed my boiler warranty had expired and that Homeserve needed to update their details so I could pay for a service. I couldn’t help but laugh and told him, “My boiler’s got no warranty, it’s well over six years old.” He said I was talking nonsense, sounded really annoyed, and said he’d check with his manager and call me back in five minutes. Never heard from him again. I called the number back and all I got was a recorded message saying just “goodbye.” Pretty clear this was a scam.
