This number and others like 713042 and 713044 keep ringing me. I didn’t pick up the last two calls but reckon it’s all the same dodgy scheme. They said my washing machine warranty’s run out. Told them it’s still valid and then they asked if I’d switch over to ServiceHomePlan. I said no, thanks. One time I did pick up about the warranty ending and she claimed only they could handle manufacturer warranties. I asked her who made my washer, since if it’s expired she should know. She named a brand and I told her she was wrong and then I just ended the call. - caller was Service Home Plan.

Got a call from someone saying my boiler warranty was up and they wanted to talk about extending it. They said the warranty period was more than 5 years, but my boiler is definitely older than that. When I asked what model my boiler was, they didn’t know. Funny thing is, I’d just had a British Gas engineer round for the annual service earlier that same day.

ABSOLUTELY A RIP-OFF!!! They claimed to be calling from Home Plan about my washing machine contract ending, offering a "special deal" to renew. When I asked for a website, they said they don’t operate online, but I found homeplanservices[###], which turns out to be an architecture firm’s site. Stay away from this lot! AVOID this number at all costs! Someone called claiming to be from Sky, saying my insurance needed renewing. The person on the line was surprisingly courteous and mentioned a discount if I paid the whole year upfront rather than monthly. I was suspicious straight away, so I hung up and contacted Sky directly. They told me they never make calls about renewals - only emails or letters.
