Received a call earlier today, attempting to sell us an extended warranty for our Sky box at a cost of £60 annually, with a heavy push towards setting up a direct debit. It all felt rather dodgy, so we ended the conversation. After that, we dialled 1471 to trace the number, but when we called it back, we were greeted with a robotic message that rambled on about appointments for wheelie bin and window cleaning. Strangely, we never got to speak to an actual person. It raised a lot of red flags for us, and thankfully, we didn’t share any of our details.
