So, this woman claiming to be "Sabrina from the warranty team" rang me up from a Brighton number starting with 01273. She told me my washing machine's warranty was up and they were getting ready to send me a replacement one. I found it suspicious right away and told her I thought it was a scam, then ended the call after about half a minute. Turns out, my washing machine's warranty is still valid for another seven and a half years! I reckon people who aren’t careful might end up losing a good chunk of money to these kind of calls.
