Some so called "Dave" with an Asian accent was on the line, pretending to be with Openreach. The background noise was pretty loud, sounds like he had a bunch of mates doing the same rubbish scam. Honestly, when will these talentless muppets get proper jobs or just disappear for good?

Just got a call claiming to be from BT Openreach about a problem with my internet. But we actually use Virgin Media, so I ended the call straight away. Seems like it was one of those scams.

Somebody rang claiming they were from BT Broadband but you could tell right away it was one of those busy call centres. I told them I wasn’t convinced it was really BT and said I’d just end the call.

Got a call from this number earlier today. When I answered, there was silence at first, then I overheard a man talking in Hindi, asking about first and last names. I ended the call immediately since it felt dodgy. Checked online afterwards and saw loads of folks saying it's a scam. Pretty sure the person on the call didnt even realise I picked up.

Got a call just now from a bloke claiming my BT line and computer were at risk with some sort of virus or hack. Typical scammy stuff, but I told him I don't even have BT as my provider. Didn’t make any difference to him though, he went on about it all coming from one big main server. That’s total nonsense, especially since I've worked on BT exchanges before and know how things really run.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent who said he was from BT. He told me my broadband speed was acting up and then asked about the devices linked to my router. After that he wanted to know what browser I was using. When I told him I wasn’t sure, he just hung up. I've had scam calls like this before, but it’s the first time the number had my local area code.

On 14th Oct '19 about 1.30pm, some woman called asking me to access my computer. When I questioned her, she got rude real quick. Then this bloke kept ringing nonstop, started threatening to k#### me and my family. You could hear loads of chatter and noise in the background, sounded like a call centre. I received a rather dubious call today at 1:10 PM on the 11th of October, 2019. The person on the line claimed to be from BT and asked me how many devices were connected to my router, supposedly to resolve some issue. But hang on a minute, what issue are they talking about? For the record, I'm not even a BT customer! It all reeks of a scam to me. It's outrageous that these sorts of tactics are allowed to persist; they really should be subject to the law for trying to pull a fast one on unsuspecting folks like us!
