Got loads of calls from this number, my phone flagged it as a potential scam. They claimed my Bosch washing machines warranty was about to expire. When I asked who they were, they just said they were the warranty people. Bit odd since I have warranties for all three appliances but they only bothered about the washing machine and didn’t mention the others. Kept pushing for my bank details, told them no way as I already got a valid warranty. Still, they called me three more times after that. Had to block them now.

At first I figured it was one of those dodgy calls about extended warranties on my appliances. I asked him to name what appliances I supposedly had covered, just to see if he’d bluff it. Turns out he knew exactly what washing machine I’d got, where I bought it from, and had it registered - fair play to him, the call seemed genuine. Still, I told him no to more warranty as I’m planning to get a new one shortly.

Number’s from Brigton - defo trying to get your bank info and maybe scam cash with fake warranty stuff - just block it. Honestly, who still falls for this? Everyone shops online now and contacts legit companies if they need to sort warranties. “Data protection,” yeah right, what a joke nowadays. Just quit bothering us and stop trying to con people. Got a call yesterday asking some really random stuff like what brand my fridge is. I gave them made-up answers to all the questions. Then today, got another call about some fake warranty renewal on that nonexistent fridge. Pretty obvious they’re linked. The bloke trying to sell me the warranty was all over the place when I questioned him. Just a heads up, be careful with any info you share, even stuff that seems harmless like your dog’s name or favourite colour. THEY’RE DEFINITELY SCAMMERS!!!

Bit odd he called out of the blue today, cos I’d just entered some online prize draw yesterday for free supermarket gift cards. Did a quick survey and accidentally typed in Hoover when asked about my washing machine brand. Lesson learnt - never waste time on these so-called “free” offers. I checked online and it looks like a legit business. Probably just a mix-up with their details rather than a dodgy call.
