Got a call from some bloke claiming he was calling from Sky, saying my insurance was about to expire and he could sort me out with a bargain. Thing is, I just renewed mine not long ago. Clear scam. Probably after my bank details. Told him to shove off. Seriously, do these lot have no shame at all? Best just to hang up on these crooks.

This guy rang up claiming to be from Homecare, linked to the Hotpoint company. I told him I don’t own a Hotpoint appliance. Then he started going on about there being 13 brands under Hotpoint and began naming them. When I mentioned LG wasn’t on his list and said I didn’t reckon they were included, he insisted they were. Felt like he was trying to con me out of some money. I lost interest fairly quickly and just ended the call.

Just got a call a minute ago. Me: "Hello?" Caller: "Hi there, am I speaking with #my name#?" Me: "Yeah, speaking. Who's this then?" Caller: "It's about your Sky service at #my address#." Me: "I don't actually have Sky, so you might wanna stop bothering me." The caller just hung up on me after that.
