I recently had the misfortune of encountering a call from an Indian call centre that I recorded on my answering machine. Strangely enough, I overheard them chatting amongst themselves in the most entitled and frankly offensive manner. The conversations were peppered with plenty of English and featured a lot of back-and-forth banter. The most appalling snippet I caught was something along the lines of, ‘You white people (shittees?) owe us everything… we’re taking what’s ours… and then we’ll just come back for more free stuff.’ It was astonishing! I really wish I could report this somewhere because it’s simply unacceptable. These individuals seem like the quintessential modern-day opportunists; if they don’t score one way, they’ll try to find another angle. - Caller type: Indian call centre
